What resources do we use?
Information is changing often. We use the following sources for our information along with recommendations from St. Clair Hospital, the county health department, and the state of Pennsylvania. St. Clair Hospital is taking this very seriously and is keeping the staff and physicians updated regularly. We encourage you to read from the same sources we use:
What changes are we making in the office?
As obstetricians, we work with some of the most vulnerable patients - pregnant women and newborns. We must take every precaution to keep all of our patients safe but must be particularly cautious with these people.
We have resumed normal business hours.
We have always observed best practices for hand hygiene with hand sanitizer and cleaning exam rooms thoroughly between patients. We will continue these behaviors as we always have.
Additionally, no companions are allowed for appointments, unless medically necessary (I.e. mobility issues, dementia, etc). We are reviewing policies continually to decide when partners/spouses/support persons can safely come to appointments.
We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
